Match a light to a kelvin I type in

Touch and hold REF to open TARGET, set the kelvin and tint you want, and the REF card answers against that light. The kelvin runs from 2,000 to 10,000 K in 100 K steps.

Step by step

  1. Touch and hold REF on the meter.
  2. Under TARGET LIGHT, set Kelvin, or tap 3200, 4300, 5600 or 6500.
  3. Set Tint if you need it, from minus 10 to plus 10.
  4. Under COMPARE AGAINST, keep TYPED TARGET, then close the sheet.
  5. Point at the light. The card names the gel to add and what is left over.

If that didn't work

To go back to a light you pinned, choose PINNED READING under COMPARE AGAINST. The Stops row never appears against a typed target, because a typed light has no level.
