Why Meter asks for my location
To place the sun where you are standing and to tag readings with where they were taken. Meter asks only while you use it.
Step by step
- Allow location when Meter asks, or later in the Settings app, under Cutvey Meter.
- Without it, plan a place by hand on Meter Map, or enter coordinates in the planning chart on SUN.
If that didn't work
The live sun path needs your location to know which way true north is. Locations stay on your device and your Apple Watch and are never sent to Cutvey; places you search or view on the map go through Apple Maps.
