Calibrate a lens against another meter

Tap CAL, then move that lens's Temperature and Tint offsets until Meter agrees with your reference meter on the same light. Each lens has its own offsets, and they change only what Meter shows.

Step by step

  1. Read one steady light with your reference meter, and with Meter on GRAY CARD on the lens you use.
  2. Compare them on a tungsten lamp and on daylight. Go on only if they differ by about the same amount on both.
  3. Tap CAL above the readout.
  4. In that lens's OFFSET panel, move Temperature, then Tint, until the readings agree. Tap Done.

If that didn't work

Temperature moves up to 500 K either way, as seen at 5,000 K, and Tint up to 10 either way. Calibration is one fixed offset per lens, so it cannot follow a difference that changes with the color or kind of light. Each lens has its own reset button, and Reset All Offsets clears every lens. Logged readings keep the measured figures, with the offset beside them.
