Is plus tint green or magenta?
Plus is green and minus is magenta. Meter's tint is how far the light sits from the line that runs through daylight and tungsten colors, with 0 on that line.
Step by step
- Read the tint beside the kelvin. A plus figure leans green.
- A minus figure leans magenta.
- To correct it on the light, pin a reference with REF. The card suggests a plus or minus green gel, marked approximate.
If that didn't work
Your camera's tint control uses its own scale, so the same number does not make the same shift there. Use Meter's tint for the direction and a rough size, then fine-tune on the camera against a gray card.
