My camera looks wrong at the kelvin Meter gave

Use Meter's kelvin as the starting point for the camera, then fine-tune on the camera itself. Each camera renders a kelvin setting through its own processing, so the last nudge belongs on the camera's monitor.

Step by step

  1. Read the light on GRAY CARD, with the card where the subject will be, and wait for HIGH.
  2. Set that kelvin on the camera.
  3. Put the same gray card in the camera's frame and look at it on the camera's monitor or scopes.
  4. Nudge the camera's kelvin and tint until the card looks neutral there.

If that didn't work

If the light leans green or magenta, set the tint too, using Meter's tint for the direction. If Meter and your camera differ by the same amount on every light, a calibration offset for that lens can take it out of Meter's readings.
