Plan a shoot somewhere else on the map

Open Meter Map, search a place or press and hold to mark one, and pick a day. You see the sun's path, golden and blue hour on that place's own clock, and a stand-in's shadow at every hour.

Step by step

1. Tap the map button in the corner of the meter.
2. Search a place, press and hold on the map to mark one, or tap a reading's pin and PLAN HERE.
3. Tap DAY to pick the day, and switch between 2D, 3D and FROM THE SUN.
4. Set the stand-in's height to see its shadow at each hour.
5. With an Apple Watch paired, tap the watch button to follow this place on your wrist. To send the plan to the crew, tap SHARE; turn Map and location off to leave the place out.

If that didn't work

The map and place search need a connection; they come from Apple Maps, and the map says MAP OFFLINE without one. The times use the place's own time zone once Apple returns it, and the device clock, labeled, until then.
