Take a RAW measurement
Touch and hold LOG. Meter captures one RAW frame and works the color out from the sensor's own pixels, without the camera's white balance, as a second opinion on the live reading.
Step by step
- Point at the light or the gray card, filling the middle of the frame.
- Touch and hold LOG until the RAW MEASUREMENT card appears.
- Read the kelvin, the Duv and the gap to the live AWB reading, in kelvin and mired.
- The measurement is saved to LIBRARY as one reading.
If that didn't work
RAW is offered only on cameras that shoot Bayer RAW, which Meter checks for each camera, and never on the front camera. If the middle of the frame is clipped or too dark, Meter says so: meter something less bright, or add light. The RAW file itself is not kept or saved to Photos.
